Since the cooking utensils are not made from plastic, they can stir the bottom of a pan placed over high heat without. Because of their handmade nature each item is unique, and variations will occur within the different products. Makes a great gift, whether buying for yourself or someone else. Hand wash with soapy water, then allow it to air dry. As needed, wipe with mineral oil to restore the finish.
