Tarragon

Originally from Russia, this perennial herb has thin, pointy leaves and a distinct licorice-like flavor. As it is an aromatic herb, tarragon has a wide range of uses. However, it does blend exceptionally well with other spices, thus is used frequently in: sauces, vinegars, and Dijon mustard. Crush in the palm of your hand to release the flavor before using.
